Nadal Progresses Into 3rd Round At Australian Open

Rafael Nadal beat Tommy Haas, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 on Wednesday in a second round match at the Australian open beating Haas, the oldest player in the draw at 33, for the fifth time straight.

His knee was heavily taped though he showed no signs of discomfort to advance to the third round.

David Beckham Extends Contract With L.A. Galaxy

It's official. Kevin Baxter of the L.A. Times says that soccer star David Beckham has signed an extension with the Galaxy, keeping him with Major League Soccer for the next two years.  It's a good thing for Beckham, seeing as his deal with a French club didn't happen. And Beckham probably wanted to settle a little longer seeing how much his family loves living in Los Angeles. Expect an official announcement for Galaxy and Beck's reps sometime soon.
